- King Lear - Bronze sculpture by Barry Johnston

King Lear (Lrg)

1985,  Bronze, 5' x 5' x 2'- 6", Edition 8

In his madness, King Lear staggers through a raging storm, his cape flying wildly in the wind, capturing the moment when, having rejected his loving daughter Cornelia, he tragically realizes the consequences of his foolish alliance with his conniving older daughters.  The first of this series was purchased by and is a part of the permanent collection of the James Michener Museum in Doylestown, PA.
